A friend and I took a little road trip Saturday. We hit half dozen gun shops in the S.E.L.P., and I managed to buy two ML's (I have an illness), The first was a blued Remington 700 ML. The exterior of the rifle was spotless, but the barrel was roached. It looked like someone pulled the trigger on 100 grn of BP, filled the barrel full of water ,and put it in the basement, but the action and bolt were great. Project? Gave 100 for it.
My next find was even better. At another shop, mixed in with some used CF rifles, I found a very clean TC ss Omega in .45 cal. It had cheap 6x scope, and a nice sling. Project? Shoot it? Make a few buck's on it? Gave 200 for it. Couldn't pass it up.
Anybody else have a good road trip find?
