Hi, I’m kinda new to muzzleloaders. I’m currently shooting 3 side locks, a 32,45 and 50 with another 50 on order. I also have 3 shotguns. Powders for me consist of pyrodex RS, 777
and Goex. I hear a lot about Swiss powder being great for accuracy. Unfortunately being in Canada my selections are limited. I can get Swiss, but only in 1.5f. Does anyone have any experience with 1.5f. Specifically I’m looking to try it in a fast twist 50 with heavy conicals. I can get 2f but have to order 25 lbs!
thanks

Swiss 1.5FG is more like other brands of 2FG. Its finer so dont sweat it.

Right here what GM54 Said, I would Get the 1.5 Swiss without hesitation! In fact i have been wanting to Try a Can of 1.5 Myself, it is HIGHLY Popular with the Cartridge guy’s. I will get a Can my Next trip to Buffalo Arms

The explanation of powder grains is helpful.
Thanks for letting ML owners know finer grains will need load adjustments.
