It is new old stock/ unfired.
24” Round barrel .50cal 1:48twist.
It’s in the orig box with orig owners manual book.

Hi Bill, thanks, I have not looked in the owners manual, I read in the description when I bought it that it was .50 1:60 twist. I thought that weird then & questioned to myself WTH isn't this a 1:48 twist??? But I only bought it to replace the barrel anyway so I didn't pursue any investigation about a barrel I didn't plan on using to begin with.
Thanks for bringing this to my attn., I'll check the twist rate myself & if it is other than 1:60, I'll update my post. Much appreciated.

I bought mine last year after doing some research found they were only made for 3 years - 92-94. I couldn't find much info on them as they are kind of rare but everything I saw was 1-48" But T/C did some weird stuff at times. Anyway GLWS! Someone will get a fine rifle!

I have edited my post for the correct twist rate 1:48. Thank you Bill_N for pointing that out & getting me to verify it.

Thank you, it does have a very nice American Walnut stock. I wish I could keep it & do what I wanted to do with it, but the new projects have consumed my interests & finances.

The differences are that the WMC has an octagon to round barrel, the HPS has a completely round barrel.
The American Walnut looks the same quality & grade with both guns, the difference in stock styles, is the HPS has a more modern styled " sporter rifle " & straighter butt with a recoil pad. Its really nice in the hands.

I've never put another sidelock in my hands, & up to my shoulder, & thought " I love this gun " like I have with this HPS. I only got it to put a .40 fast twist barrel & a 410 shotgun barrel on it. Never planned to use the orig barrel.
