I recently purchased an Encore ProHunter that was not well cared for and thre gas rings were stuck in the groove. I soaked the breech plug in royal jelly to dissolve the rust and carbon. This worked to free the rings, but two of the three broke when I removed them to clean out the groove.
I have a spare breech plug so I'm not out of commission, but I would like to fix it so that I have a backup.
All that said, now that TC is defunct, anybody have a source for these rings? Or a good alternative?
