TC Pro Hunter Rings ???

I'm gonna to mount a Leupold Vari X-III 3.5-10x40 on my TC Pro Hunter. I have these new rings that i never used & wonder if they would give nuff clearance??? Going out to get base today. Thought some Encore folks may have some input.

What base(s) are you using with them? Weaver style bases can vary a little in height.

I have a 40mm scope (Burris) and used Warne Maxima bases and Warne Maxima medium rings. I have ample clearance, and kind of wish I had gone with low rings. Hopefully somebody else will have first-hand experience, but I bet those will work.

Thinking of the Warne Maxima. I checked & the Weavers are alum & I want steel. I may just go for both warne rings & bases. Omega has PMed me some good advice on what he used on his Pro Hunter.

People think the steel bases are much superior to good aluminum. Take your hacksaw to a good aluminum base and do the same to one of the "steel" bases - you might reconsider.

Don't you need extra holes to drill for those?

You can get either the 4 or 6 screw model. Even with the 6 screw, you don't HAVE to use the extra holes.
