Texas as far as i can tell is a Whitetail hunters dream come true. I saw between 35 and 45 bucks. That is 2 1/2 days hunting. The Buck i shot was not at all the biggest i could of shot. I just really wanted a 10 point. And thats what i shot. 8) I will add more to this later.

You guys have been back a couple of days and all you can muster up is some pics of Texas desert, 2 sentences, and a real nice 10 point?

What happened in the Mississippi casino's

The first night i hunted, i saw a huge 7 point. Probably the second biggest buck i saw on the trip. It was really big. About a 1/2 hour later i saw another good buck. No getting a shot at this one. It was on a mission for sure.

The next morning on the way to my spot. I picked out a MONSTER in the field. To make a long story short, i could not shoot it. It was on another ranch. :x Sitting in a couple spots and rattling, i saw about 25 bucks this day. :) Wow was it fun. I shot my 10 point at 151yds. And boy was it late/dark. I made a good shot and it went about 20yds. 8) I was really excited to shoot my first 10 point. I did pass up much bigger 8 points trust me.

The last morning i was there, i managed to shoot a nice little 4 point. I would say 35yds tops. It went about 30yds with a good blood trail. I was very pleased with my .50cal ULA, and the 275grn parker bullets.

Great pics! Looks like you guys had alot of fun! Nice Bucks

Certainly looks like beautiful country.

Took me about 4 hours to get all the pics to download too.. Had to keep the page up and keep refreshing... started last night.

Glad you had a great time. Sharing experiences helps friendships grow even closer. Hunting Texas is really different than AR agricultural hunting - except the distances can be the same. I also like the 275 Parker - you need to try it sabotless in a 45 barrel. Likely wouldn't be any more accurate than what you two shoot in your ULAs. :D

Awesome!! That sure looks like a good time was had by both of you. Those are some very nice bucks and cool scenery photos.

Congratulations to you both! :partyman:

Nice hunt guys. With all that Texas scenery...I was expecting one of John Wayne or Clint Eastwood riding up on ole Paint. Its amazing that the whitetail deer really seem to thrive in county like that. Great pics! :D
