I recieved in trade a Knight rifle. It has the plastic branded stock but no breech plug or bolt.

I can't find a model number and not that familier with Knight products.

I don't have any picture right now.

Any ideas or help -thanks

You ain't giving us much to go on. LOL
If it has the boat paddle type stock, its probably either a Wolverine or LK-93. Beyond that, you probably need to post a pic.
It should be marked on the barrel...I've never seen a knight that wasn't ?? :huh?: :huh?:

the is an LK rifle. With the special light weight stock. A 22 inch barrel. .50 caliber. Great little rifle.

This is the full stock LK-93 model. Again 22 inch barrel, 50 caliber and excellent little rifle.

Might this be what you have?

Yeah I know not much to go on but it is a LK-93
Now I need to find a bolt and breech plug.

It would be a plunger not a bolt . I just gave one away and dont have one left now or i would help you out . You shouldnt have a problem finding the breechplug and plunger though .

Can the older "slotted" breach plug and bolt be upgraded to the "hex" style breach plug and bolt? Just curious

I know my son has had issues with a slotted CVA breach plug. When my hex plug got stuck om my knight bighorn, it was a lot easier working with the hex. Just used a socket.

Yes, Knight sells the newer hex head style breach plugs for plunger guns. SKU: M900023.

This particular breech plug fits .50cal LK93, LKII, MK85, BK92, American Knight, TK2000, Bighorn and Littlehorn series muzzleloaders.

Numrich sells the plunger for a very fair price $22. Knight wants $42 for the same item.

But Numrich wants over $30 for the breach plug. Knight sells it for barely under $28

Knight also sells the complete kit for FPJ 209 ignition if you don't want to use percussion caps. Personally, i think the percussion is better if you are going to use loose Triple7 powder. The caps produce a much lighter crud ring than the 209 primers.

With the Knight plunger guns, you have a choice of either #11 ignition, or 209 ignition.
Either one will work fine, it really comes down to personal preference. Some love #11, some love 209. There are pro's/con's to each, imo. Knight sells all their guns std now with the 209 setup, unless you purchase a western version (which comes with #11).

If you are interested in going with 209 ignition, I have a complete setup that will fit the knight plunger guns listed in the classifieds. I even have about a dozen of the red 209 primer jackets I can throw in also.
