Can someone explain how to tell a Weaver style base from a Ruger style base?

This may seem like a really dumb question, but I don't know what each looks like.

For one thing...there is really no such thing as a Ruger base(except 10/22)...Ruger rifles have dovetails in the receiver for Ruger-style rings.

WEAVER-style rings:

Two COMPLETELY different ring types. Hope this helps!

Weaver-style bases will have a cross slot that is cut all the way laterally across the base. Ruger bases will have a small lateral cut that does not go all the way across, and will have circular recesses in the sides to accomodate the clamps.

Weaver-style rings will have a rectangular lateral bolt on the bottom that goes into the slot on the bases. Ruger style rings will have a circular nub in the bottom that fits into the short cut on the bases.
