I am sure the deer is not worried about which is cleaner or not. As for which one to use, try them in your rifle. Some rifles do not like Shockey Gold, but most inline rifles shoot 777.

I would get the 777 and just swab between shots. It will give you excellent power, easy clean up, and if you do you part venison in the freezer.
