Could be , but 300 was my max. Does that breech plug look like new to you ? Never mind the scratches on barrel or what the inside of the bore may look like .

The bore is clean and as far a scratches I don't see none breech plug used

OK I see them in pic but didn't notice when looking at gun OK its not new but I'm not going to return it it has a good place to go

Price was plenty fair for a White . I think you got a good deal personally.

I would suggest getting a Bestill plug for that gun. They're Great!
