Right after the Big Thompson Flood bears, cougars, snakes and you name it came up to higher ground. For weeks until the water had gone down and things had started to settle back to norm we had many of these animals hanging around. Had to keep an eye on everything, never new when an unexpected animal would show up in the barn looking for a hand out - freebie like a barn cat, one of my dogs or horses. Shot and killed several bobcats that wouldn't leave after several attempts and running them off. Biggest scare was a young bear probably a couple hundred pounds decided he liked our 2 ton truck bed, that was different.
