Hi,

I know you have tested many loads of many powders, with many kind of bullet and sabots...

Many guys have a lot of experience with their Smokeless.

WHAT is your BEST load (s) ???

Hey Gerald...
I've killed the most stuff with 42gr N-110 and a 250gr SST..

I'll tell you what though...A 300gr SST/300gr Barnes Expander and 40gr SR-4759 is starting to look REALLY good lately!

42 grs. N110, 250 gr. Hornady SST, Harvester short sabot, Win. primer

60 grs. N120, 300 gr. Hornady SST, Harvester long sabot, Win. primer

These two loads both shoot great, under 1" @ 100 yds. :yeah:

42gr N-110 with a .40 200gr Shockwave/sst MMP blue 50/40 sabot and a Winchester primer.

57gr N-120 with a .458 300gr Barnes X orange MMP sabot and Winchester primer -correction made...

68gr 2015 with a .451 375gr Buffalo Bullet supplied sabot and Federal primer.

44gr 5744 with a 250gr XTP MMP sabot with Federal primer.

All MOA...

I was kind of thinking the same thing! But Pat is a former Sumo wrestler and can handle ANYTHING!

44gr of 5744 250gr XTP MMP short sabots = moa :) I will be trying the barnes expanders in 250 and 300 gr in the off season.

So far my best load is 43 grains of 4759 under a 250 SST with a Win primer. Will try others along the way but this is the load I'll likely use for hunting, until I'm convinced I've found something better.

It was 47.5 gr IMR4759 250 sst,and win primer, untill I got the new lot number now not too sure. But have all summer to get it right.

Savage HB- 43 gr. N110, 250gr. SST/SW, HPH 12 sabot and Win primer.
43 gr. 4759, 250gr. SST/SW, HPH 12 sabot and Win primer.

Savage #2- 42 gr. N110, 250gr. SST/SW, Harvester sabot and Win primer so far. I haven't tested as much yet with this gun. HPH 24 sabots seem to shoot pretty good also.

100gr Volume (64.3gr weighed, I think????) FFFg T7 w/ 463gr FN .451cal Homecast bullets 3 shot group with 2 touching and one less than an inch away, out of a Traditions Tracker 209.
