Dave no excuses requested the 420g bullet be shot using 80g Blackhorn powder.

Photo shows the target is six water bottles fronted by carpet adhered to 3/8" plywood; backed by phone book. The distance between the rifle, and the target in the next photo is 25 yard.

The front two bottles were tossed high in the sky nearly to the camera, and were destroyed. Then the bullet went through the third, and fourth bottle; bounced off the fifth bottle, and was found on ground forward near the front of the horse.

That load right there will kill an elk deader than a bag of hammers. Done it!

It sure don't need no hollow point either.

Looks like a "Pass" under the circumstances. Wonder how much expansion would occur at 100 yards?

Ron: Good test results as expected with the charge.
Looking at BH209 data, their 80grV load (444gr bullet) is at 1425fps. If one was hunting with this bullet at their Max 100grV load (1600fos), this result would be expected at 65yds or so.
Thanks again.
