Breech plug wear

All I’ve recently posted about my Buckstalker issues and I think with your help I’ve narrowed it to the point that it’s probably the plug. But I guess the reason I’m posting this is the why . Is it because of the different composition of the powder ie Blackhorn 209 vs Triple 7 that is to say a nitrocellulose powder needing a lot of fire and heat versus a sugar based powder that requires possibly less heat or is it a matter of pressure.

209 primers are very hard on breech plugs, especially those hot mag primers.

The flash holes on all breech plugs erode. Some more quickly than others.
