Yep, if you had a .002-.003 crush on a Fed209A you would be in the .006 crush range for the Win209 which is too much in a CVA break action. For safety reasons its best not to go over a .003 crush in a break action.

You could also use a Nobel primer. They are close in length but larger OD.

I've got a few hundred Win 209's on hand so I'll just go with them unless performance dictates otherwise.
