Here’s a little project that I’ve been working on for a month or so. Sporter stock for one of my GM LRH 50 barrels. Collaboration with a gunsmith in Oklahoma. His stock and my parts. Walnut with a poured pewter nose. I should have finished pictures soon.

Nice rifle. Have you considered a more period-correct stain? The reddish hue that alkanet root stain imparts, along with a little more gloss, would get closer to the English style. The flat top checkering is another thought, but a lot more difficult to do!
