I installed this on my stainless Renegade last year. Still need to build a one piece solid shim for my Lyman peep sight. I don’t think washers are going to work with as much height as I need to raise it. Thinking of making the solid shim out of one of the chunks of aluminum I have laying around.Should be easy to cut shape and drill. Will also need to get some longer screws. I’ll get it done of these days.

Yes, it's the William's base. The low one of course. Had to do a fair amount of filing to the base to get it on the barrel and the sight attached. It's not gunsmith quality work, but it should hold up. I hope.

Thanks. I can see why they work so well for low recoil target guns. I guess we’ll find out about muzzleloading rifles!

At Williams Gun Sights you can 'build' a sight thats very much like a FO globe. They have their Streamlined Ramps (screw-on or solder-on) 5 available heights.

That will take a hood(open or closed)

All true. I’m not interested in the globe so much as I am the fine aiming points they provide. The problem with that fine aiming point is that it disappears in dim light. I guess I’m looking for a globe target sight that is easily adapted for hunting without removing and replacing the sight itself.

I couldn't get the truglo globe to work on my CVA accura so I made this. The fiber is 0.029" diameter. The fiber is at the same height as the lyman globle and didn't need to be rezeroed. I have been making a few changes and want to test more but I'm prettty sure I will use it for hunting this fall.

Preliminary review say the front bead is very small (good!) but is tall so it needs a tall rear sight. The peep with the package is taller than the normal peep sight so I ordered the set

Just received a front. Looks like the center of the front bead sits right at .453 above the barrel. The body is aluminum with an aluminum bezel, but looks fairly sturdy. The post/bead measures .052.

Looks like it will work well on my White with Lyman 57sme or any rear peep that can be raised to about .453.
