I've been fortunate to be able to guide grizzly and brown bear hunters in AK for the past 18 years. I've taken two bears for myself. It is some of the most adrenaline pumped hunting I've done which is why I enjoy it. They are extremely tough to kill unless they are hit perfectly. I've been charged several times by both wounded and non wounded animals. I've taken two ML hunters and I had to kill both of those bears with a rifle after poor shot placement. It's not an animal you want to have to track if they are wounded.
