I take it that means this design requires a safety located somewhere on the trigger guard and that the firing pin is cocked when the barrel is tipped on the hinge pin thus exposing the primer end of the breech plug?

Not "required" any more than than a break-open shotgun, but a cross-bolt safety was selected.

I just handled protoypes-- what finally comes off the line may be different.
 
I think the "Vision" would give me nightmares. That thing is ugly as ugly as I am.

The Knight camo really works well, as it has baffled you both-- it is neither a shotgun nor "cheap."
