Back from the range now. Advice on cleaning while sighting in taken and went very well. Thanks to all that offered help.
After bore sighting, fired three shot group at 100 yards cleaning between shots. Moved POI 9 inches up and fired one more three shot group. 1-1/2" group centered on POA. I am done sighting in for where I hunt.
If I can impose one more time.
I was loading 2 50/50 T7 pellets and a Hornady SST Low Drag Sabot in 250 grains. When seating the load and projectile, after gently stopping at the bottom, just a little force resulted in some miniscule movement further, and then a solid stop. (like something was seating completely or snapping into place, hard to describe). I don't think I was crushing the pellets? It was a very slight movement, maybe .010". All six loads felt exactly the same way.
Anyone have any advice? Should I just have stopped when it gently bumped the bottom?
