Well guy’s I didn’t get it done with my Muzzleloader this year, This place is CRAWLING with Hunters, Unlike i have ever seen here Before. I chose to put my Muzzleloader away and Grab 1 of my Centerfire Rifles so I could extend my Range. As many Hunters as there is here this year, I feel BLESSED to have gotten this Guy

I had been watching this Old Cut Bottom for about 2 hours, He popped out at the Red Arrow, He was like a Hound Dog on a Track, head down, running the Tree Line, I whistled LOUD in hopes of Stopping him, worked like a Charm

Way to get it done!!

165 AccuBond fired out of what? ‘06? 308? 300? Just curious as I want to work up loads in my ‘06 with that bullet this winter.

I used my .300 Win Mag here. Nosler Accubonds are my “Go To” FAVORITE Big Game Hunting Bullet, I have been using them for Many years now, Since they first came out, They are an impressive Bullet to say the Least. Being a Premuim Bonded Bullet, they hold together exceptionally well.

Thank you Guy’s, Like i said, With all the Hunters here this Year, I feel Blessed to have Gotten him. Hunting on Public/State land with a MILLION other Hunters is TOUGH, Sadly this is not the Same Idaho it was 10 years ago. I have put a LOT of time in this Place, learning it, I know a Few places i can usually get away from people, But this year I couldn’t, There are Hunters EVERYWHERE Here, Trailer Loads of Atv/Utvs, Snow Machines, You name it.

He was nice and Fat, I will get him Cut up & in the Freezer in the next Couple of Days, it is Cold here now, 30-32 Degrees for the Next several Days

Idaho great deer ! But you said extend your range kinda funny coming from you with all the long range shooting you do with a smoke pole I guess I can't blame ya !!

Targets and Big Game are 2 VERY Different things, I don’t shoot at Big Game Animals that Far away with open sights, i have WAY more Respect for the Big Game i hunt than to take “Crack Shots” at them like that. 200-250 Yards is a LONG ways out there on a Deer with Open Sights, Even though I know i can make those Shots Day in and Day out on a Target, I won’t chance it on a Living, Breathing Creature that i have the UTMOST Respect for. To me, It boils down to Ethics, And the way i see it? It’s just not an Ethical thing to do. Now if that were a Coyote, or a Wolf, I would Take Shots at ANY Range

With my Scoped Rifle here, i was able to Tuck in behind this Bucks Front Shoulder with FULL CONFIDENCE and Put my Bullet through his Lungs, He didn’t go 30-40 Yards, ZERO Meat Damage

Thank you George, I was happy to get him :lewis:

Have you put the “SMACK DOWN“ on one with DUNAMIS Yet?
Not yet. One shooter yesterday (opener) but he was chasing a doe and no shot. Second shooter, a wide 8pt, but his tines weren't much more than an inch long, which got a pass.
My hunting for the year will be done in a week I just found out.
