2 weeks ago I sent my 10 yr old Bushnell DOA 250 back to Bushnell (power ring wouldnt move) they sent a new replacement scope yesterday but Im not sure if its muzzleloader friendly like my old model was. Im waiting on their reply now. But fantastic customer service from Bushnell regardless.
I have the same scope on one of my MLers. Great scope for the money and I've had no problems to date. Thanks for the serrvice update.

On Thursday on another message board, I found one of the supposedly rare TC Hawkens with a laminate stock for sale and sent a money order to buy it.
Fortunate canine!
I have one of those! They are quite rare. LOVE mine! She's the most accurate sidelock I have. You're gonna love it!
If you can find a 3 screw tang, swap the issue one out and put a peep sight on it. Or d&t the original. It's your rifle after all.
Shot mine at 200 yards recently. Did very well too! A 250 grain .45 cal Hornady XTP in a Harvester crush rib sabot over 70 grains of 3f Swiss Holy Black.
They are a bit heavier than a regular Hawken. Not bothersome though, and it does help the offhand work and recoil absorption.

I'd say that closet is a liquor cabinet but for everyone on here its a "coat" closet!!

Edit 5/1/23. Jeff, read your post wrong!! That "closet" is actually a bunk room with 4 beds in it. I keep that doe decoy here at home normally but left it there last year. The closet behind the vacuums is my "coat" closet.

Laid a new subfloor in my hunting trailer so I don't fall through this season. Had to be a bit careful this past deer season. Now I just need to figure out vinyl or tiles. Original floor lasted 17yrs so no complaints View attachment 34087
Time well spent. Got some repairs on the cabin at the lease needin' to be done but it'll have to wait 'til turkey season's over.

I went out to measure the side windows in my 2 ground blinds. They slide open from left to right in a metal frame blocking the middle of the window. So I am going to replace them with one piece flexi-glass and put hinges on them so I can lift them open all the way. This way I can move my muzzleloader side to side without having to take it out of the window.Unnessary movement will catch a deer or turkeys eye real quick.

Cool project. Any pics before/after?

The new to me Hawken with laminate stock got here yesterday evening, and the stock is really nice but definitely does have some hunting bumps and bruises. The only “problem” is that the rear sight has parts missing…the elevation tension spring and the “nut” for the sight blade adjustment screw. I have a spring that will work, but now I have to find the nut.
The seller evidently doesn’t know anything about muzzleloaders so supposedly didn’t know there is a problem with the sight, but he’s offered to reimburse me for whatever the parts cost. While I appreciate the offer, I believe I got a decent enough deal on the gun that I can pay for fixing it.
I’ll try to add a picture later.

Hi there

Selling my D.I.S.C so I spent a bit of time refitting the open sights and cleaning it up. I just picked up a DISC Long Range Hunter with a Forest Green laminated thumbhole stock. It's near mint and came complete with a Lehigh 209 adaptor + Breech plug that I wasn't aware of when purchasing. The rifle came at a great price too. As I got a fancy new to me Knight to add to the other Knights in the cabinet I obviously spent time considering what expensive and equally fancy gear I would need to go with my latest acquisition LMAO. NOT THAT ANY OF IT WILL MAKE ME A BETTER SHOT !!

Even blind hogs find acorns every once in a while!
I’ve been looking for the ”nut” to fix the rear sight on the new to me laminate stock hawken, and it’s become obvious I‘ll have to buy an entire sight and rob the part off it. On EBay, TC rear sights have been listed at $80 to over $100, but I just happen to look again and found one for $18 shipped.:dance2:
