.45 cal round ball weight

Depends on the size- it could be .440" dia, which is about 127 gr, or .445", or even .450", depending on your barrel.

Green Mountain barrels tend to run large-a .45 cal can accept a .450" ball, and a .50 cal can accept a .500" ball. Does that mean a GM .45 is really a .46? Or a GM .50 is really a .51? I've been wondering about this.
 
.440 is 128 grains and .445 is 138 grain or something like that.

.490 for the .50 caliber is 177 grain
.530 for the .54 caliber is 224 grain
.570 for the .58 caliber is 284 grain
.610 for the .62 caliber is 324 grain

I know these because I cast them for my rifles... I do not have a .45 caliber rifle yet. I almost bought one, but changed my mind. I always thought a .40 caliber would make a nice small game rifle. Not too small mind you and not too large. Big enough to take a deer even at close range. (very close)
