700ML Remington should have made

My goal was to make a classic BDL muzzleloader. Here’s what I got so far.
I used an OEM BDL short action centerfire stock.
Routed a ramrod channel.
I had converted this piece several years ago to a bare 209 breech plug and 209 bolt nose.
Bedded the action and two inches of barrel.
45 cal

Looks pretty darn sharp IMO.

Where did you get the stock for it?

They are OEM. I modified.
Bought one on ebay and another for a future project from a local smith.
Bought the bottom metal from my smith too.

No. They are regular 700 BDL centerfire stocks.
Remington never made a BDL muzzleloader stock.
SO what I have implied and have done here is to modify a 700 BDL centerfire stock into a muzzleloader stock.

I have a classic 700 BDL in 3006 with that same stock. Used it for years! Would love to have one in muzzleloader!

Has to be a short action in order to use a 700 ml or 700uml.
Having like thoughts is the reason I created.

Just to claify, it's a short action not small action, just in case someone wants to get one similar. I bought 3 from Boyds for my custom Rem 700ML's. A bedded stock on these muzzleloaders is the way to go.

I looked at your picture again and I said damn I wished you could buy that. That rifle is just awesome looking. It’s got to be the nicest looking ML I ever seen. If you are going to show Remington what you did you might want to think about getting a patent on it first.
