A different kind of "inline" muzzleloader

I am posting this here since it seem the most likely place. My late Uncle bought this some time ago. Personally I don't see the point to it. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Looks like a replica rolling block but is a ML. I've owned rolling blocks before, and being a Pedersoli it cannot be cheap, so, why?

It finally arrived
Removed the beach plug and gave the internals a clean, put tape on the plug as advised here.
Load development starts tomorrow.

Bolt action muzzleloaders strike me as odd too.

Ive seen a couple. Even BadBull offered one. I think they still do actually.

Breechloaders are a passing fad. I suppose its nice to be able to repurpose them....
