Anyone shoot the Barnes MZ Spit-Fire 50 caliber semi-spitzer 285 grain bullets? Curious how they performed. Saw end of Sept. eric10ml II posted his experience with them.

Thanks Spit. I saw on the Barnes site they were listed a "New Product". Probably hear more reports as they are out longer.

What was your load?
 
120 grains 777ffg They were more accurate than the 245's ....If memory serves me correctly they shot just a tad over MOA :D

The above are 285's on top of 62gr of N120 @ 200 yds.. from my HBLE


Im guessing velocity around 2400fps! 3" high at 100 = dead on at 200...

SIDENOTE:

In my newer production HBLE and 10ML #3 both the 248/285 spitfires load VERY hard down the bore. In 10ML #1 both of these bullets load with relative ease.
