Well had a chance to see how these shoot out of the Thompson center impact.
First Round 80 gr. Volume 209 powder
100 yard target 1" high over dead center hold.
2 rounds touching.
Next increase charge to 90 gr. Volume
3.3 inches high over center.
Bullets loaded no problems all 4 shots were with a clean barrel.
I then jump back to a few rounds with 80 gr. Volume with
Hornady 44 cal xtp crush rib sabot.
Thompson center cheap shots
All shoot really great out if this rifle.
I am ready for the upcoming season.
I really like the rifle but cleaning the breech plug can be a pain.
Bullet weight 250 gr. With blue Sabot

I agree about the breach plug being a pain in the rear end to clean for everyone. I always let mine soak for a day or two before cleaning. Sounds like your impact is a great shooter. The Barnes Tez imo is one of the best on the market. I've always preferred solid copper bullets especially for hunting.

FWIW, My Barnes 250 gr T-EZ bullets weigh 264 gr with the dark blue sabot and the T-EZ copper bullet weigh 250 gr. A recovered T-EZ weighed 246 gr & this bullet took a nice buck at about 45/50 yards.

I guess I don't understand why/how some people have such a hard time cleaning a breech plug, or having to let it soak for other than a few minutes?
I've had Knights, Encores, Pro Hunters, and ASG Ultimate (bolt) and never had an issue with cleaning a breech plug or barrel threads and putting it right back in the rifle after cleaning.

Know it was OT a little, but Barnes are great bullets ;)
