While experimenting with HP diameters and how they expand in Ron's test with 35gW/50gV BH209 - my bullet occurred much father downrange than I had imagined. I started wanting to know what his test were representing with other bullets he's tested - Distance, with respect to Velocity & Energy?
Previously, I averaged the BH209 data for all 250gr & 300gr bullets listed within each load listed; 84/120, 70/100, 56/80 respectively. So, that's the vertical lines indicated on the corresponding Velocity & Energy graphs along with Ron's 35/50 grain load (light blue).
One can look up Ron's vast test and see exactly how their bullets are performing and at what distance - Ron's testing is with 2 loads 56/80 and 35/50 - REMEMBER, not all bullets passed his 35/50 test.
Maybe all this might help someone understand what their bullet is doing.
