I have used Blackhorn with satisfactory results in: 45-90, 45-70, and 45 Colt. Loads were based on manufacturer recommendations. Currently I am experimenting with 38-55 as a new to me favorite.

Thanks for the reply. I was just about to give up on this thread due to all the "Why" and no one answering the OP.
I have three canisters of the stuff I bought back when I had an inline. I was just wondering the other day about using it up in either my 45-70 or 60. Just to use up and be done with it.
You said your results were only satisfactory?
So it doesn't group well at all? Or group well compared to smokeless?
I only want to use it up if it's accurate.
Otherwise it sounds like I should sell dime bags of the stuff until it's gone
