A very big boar is coming to a feeder every evening. That hog has to be killed with a muzzleloader.
Just after 8 pm a much smaller boar that weighed about 160 pounds came in . The hog refused to turn broadside so I took a quartering away shot.
Range: About 80 yards
Gun: .50 Encore
Scope: 4X Zeiss Conquest
Bullet: 300 grain .452 XTP magnum in crush rib sabot
Powder: 140 grains of Black MZ
Primer: Winchester shotgun
At the shot the boar went down, kicked wildly for about 45 seconds and then expired. The bullet exited under the boars chin.
