I have a traditions Hawken kit in. 50 cal, it has a 1:48 twist, I am useing T7 ffg and want to use the tc maxi hunter in 350 gr. Can this bullet be shot and still maintain accuracy with this slow of a twist? Or should i get a shorter bullet? What load should I start at? I also heard that T7 burns hotter than bp and could melt the lead on the back of the bullet. Is this true and wouldn't any propellant melt the lead to some extent? They recommended a wad under the bullet, is this necessary?
This is my first traditional kit and any help and hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing .
