I just can't take a man seriously who comments on product quality that drives a Mitsuratwagon.

I, on the other hand, cannot help but greatly respect a gentleman who has a jumping catfish in his garage.

That got me laughing, yes I did have a jumping catfish at one time, but I returned it to the wild deep blue seas.

Alot of good information flying around here. :) Leupold has been on my Guns for 20 years now. Sightron and Bushnell didnt make it a year. That say's a enough right there.

Lets assume the Bushnell 3200 is the better scope, with that said 1 year later assuming both are well kept and in like new condition, try to sell both and see what kind of resale they both have. You will be lucky to get $125 for the Bushnell while the Leupold will bring $400+! I have had some Leupold's bring what I gave for them 3 and 4 years later. As for cheap scopes...... they're just cheap scopes.

BUSHNELL 3200 = $210 Leupold vxIII = $470
Resale after one year = $125 Resale after one year = $400
total loss = $85 Total loss = $70

By my figures With bushnell I saved $260 dollars to start with and then turned around and made $125 in a year. That's $385 dollars. That's pretty good. :drinkers:

Put it on Ebay and see if what I said isn't true.

Bottom line is you still got yourself a "cheap" scope.
Leupold is a is a investment and the Bushnell is getting by.

Just a quick comment on this issue.

In my price range for scopes of $200 max Leupold sells scopes with their crappy friction adjustments and so unless that ever changes I will never own a Leupold. I guess they are just to cheap to put click adjustments on their lower priced scopes.

Patrick... I have four Leupold friction-adjustment scopes, three 3-9X33EFRs and one 2-7X28 RF Special. I actually LIKE the friction-adjustment in some ways. It's one of the few adjustment systems that allows me to adjust with PARTIAL adjustments; ie 1/2 click, 3/4 click, 1&3/4 click, etc. There is also an indicator ring that you can mark were your adjustment is. That way one may see at a glance if the adjustment ever moved. Mine never have and I don't think it has ever been an issue.

Absolutely Big6x6. You are really on the ball man. That is so true. Friction adjustments are sometimes even better. My vari-xII is that way. 3x9x40. It to has never moved on me. It found a home on the Encore for now.
