Daughter and I made Venison pot pie from the buck my son shot this fall. Turned out amazing! Parents made pheasant pot pie also.

We were busy around here especially yesterday, my wife with the animals and I was working on thawing out our frozen pipes.
Our neighbor stopped by with a care package.
She brought some nice ham and beef brisket, along with all the fixins.
We didn't have to cook anything.
PS, got the water back on, yea.

Our tradition the last few years has been a Christmas fish fry with my brother’s family, our Mother, and a friend who doesn’t have any local family. This year it was fresh tilapia and channel cat, fries, hushpuppies, salad, and enough desserts to send your blood sugar into space.

Brother-in-law does a dynamite ham at Christmas. A sister-in-law does some super good yams. Myself I add pearl tapioca to the mix of about 30 deifferent dishes served. The waistline pays dearly at Christmas.

A banana sandwich, a glass of water and lots of peace and quiet. Didn't see or hear another human all day.
I did have the company of three old cats, one even older dog, the fireplace and some good books.
