I have as the title says a CVA Scout V2 45-70. I have both Starline brass and Hornady brass. I would like to load Hornady 250 grain monoflex bullets with H4198 bullets. Would like to know the standard powder weight amount and the maximum one would use in both cases. The Starlines cases are a bit under 2.1 inches in length, the Hornady a 1/16 inch shorter or so.
I understand the loads in the CVA are lighter than say a Ruger No. 1 but would like some real life loads with the CVA and fps if one knows. I will use the Fed Match primers.
The Starline brass is new, the Hornady is once fired out of the modern lever action length and loading. I am using RCBS dies but also have Lee. Thanks
