Something that looks like an 1860 Army Colt, Top Strap or Open that handles 45 long colt cartridges. Want at least 7.5" barrel, not a buntline.
I like the flexibility of having two cylinders IF I can load .45LC without pulling the cylinder out. But the Colts I see are like the heavy Walker style, but with two cylinders.I put a .45LC conversion cylinder in my ROA. Since im already used to shooting it, it made an already great gun even better. I would love to have another Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC theyre awesome SA guns but i think the pair of vaqueros would be a good choice too, lighter and have a loading door.
Can it be reloaded without removing the cylinder?I have 45 colt Blackhawk that I love, I also have a 45 acp cylinder for it that’s fun.
Too bad Clement's Custom isn't still in business. Worked magic with the ROAsI put a .45LC conversion cylinder in my ROA. I wish i had found out about him a few years earlier.Too bad Clement's Custom isn't still in business. Worked magic with the ROAs
Yes, it has the loading door by the hammer. Similar to the 1873 colt ( I Believe?), except built heavier. I can load the 45 colt with smokeless powder and to be right with 44 mag velocitiesCan it be reloaded without removing the cylinder?
That’s a fine collection right there! When I first started CAS Vaqueros ruled. And I used them like most. Then I thought why keep Queens safe? So I used these 45’s. The stag & ivory SAA’s were my go to pieces in 45LC.
Pieces depicted range from 1900 to 1995.
What is the one between the ivory and the stag? Antique finish? That would match my 1860 Colt McColloch. When I first started CAS Vaqueros ruled. And I used them like most. Then I thought why keep Queens safe? So I used these 45’s. The stag & ivory SAA’s were my go to pieces in 45LC.
