You’re shooting pretty far to the left, for only 15 feet of distance. You’ll need a pretty serious correction to be “on” at 50 or 100 yards.

Start by moving the rear sight to the right. If you run out of adjustment at the rear sight, see if you can drift the front sight to the left a little bit.

That helps keep the rear sight a little more centered. It‘s more secure, but it looks better, too.

That’s why I like a dovetailed front sight!

During tragic times such as this, I fall back on that great sympathetic quote "Horror has a face, and you must make a friend of horror".
I suggest you use those accurate pics and post it on EBAY as LNIB. Someone will buy it..
 
I’m an optimist.

I say polish it up a little, and try it, before throwing in the towel.

A lot of folks here have “rescued” a muzzleloader with a neglected bore. I’d think somebody here must have experience rescuing a chrony.

It might just buff out, better than you think! 😇
