My overall goal is to have a front sight that I'll use the tip of the ramp as my aiming point as I'm planning to shoot longer ranges out to perhaps 300 yds but not sure my eyes will allow that but that's my goal.

I'm needing to get my Knight Ultra Lite drilled and tapped for a front sight (currently no holes) and I also am wanting to add a hole for the same front sight on my White Super 91 since it only has 1 hole. On the White, I don't have a good screw for the ramp and it keeps popping out when I'm inserting my dovetailed blade as the screw it messed up and very difficult to find a replacement. So, I want to just get it tapped as well for the same ramp as the knights so they'll all have two holes. I'm only finding sets of front and rear sights via retail places so I've also been looking on ebay but they are often hard to decipher the hole spacing as many of them will simply list it for a Marlin, Remington, etc.

I'm not real sure of the difference in heights either as I will be probably using a peep sight in the rear (Lyman and/or Williams) so not sure how much play I will have or need. I'm not familiar with any retail places in Denver that carries much of a variety of iron sights so I'm likely ordering on the net.

Any suggested brands that I should be looking at? the only ramps I've seen that I know would fit the Knights are Williams but I'm sure there are others. I've also toyed with the idea of using a front hooded Lyman sight with inserts that I'd be able to trip down to a relatively fine point. Anyway, I'm sure others have faced this battle before so I thought I'd throw it out and see what others think.
