Ganders Shooting Sticks

Here they are! Just built these to use at the Santa Fe Trail Rendezvous.

The shooting sticks I made, the only real difference is I put a 20 inch piece of nylon very thin rope on the bottom of the legs. This allows me to flex them out to the max and the string will stop the legs from walking on hillsides or slippery surfaces like ice. Also when I carry them, I fold the sticks and then use that rope to tie the one end together so they act more like a walking stick...

I like that idea, i will see what i can come up with. I want to drill out some holes on the bottoms and jb weld some nails or screws into it so i can plant them firmly into the ground.
