Just sighted in the new scope on my Super, reinstalled the plunger assembly, its stuck somehow. Can't align the hold down screw. The striker is pulled back and turned to the lock position. Won't move forward or backward, needs to come back to install stop screw and release spring tension. Striker is touching nipple, or very close. I've removed it from stock, but no help there unless trigger is removed. Trigger is a bold.
Planning to blood it in the morning, but now.....?

Got it. Must have been binding on trigger, I loosened bolt holding trigger to receiver, it slid right out.
Cleaned and reassembled.
Sighted in with No Excuses 385 grain bullet, 65 grains T7, 3f.
Deer season opens at daylight.
:D

Glad to hear your problem is solved. Hope you get a biggun tomorrow!

A bad day in the woods beats a good day most anyplace else. Plus, stopping at the local gun store, I got a line on a stainless 504 Super that "has been sitting for years".
Cross my fingers, maybe a find, or a parts rifle anyway.....
