At a recent garage-sale I found a fairly new "range-rod", with the round knob on one end. Well, I kinda wanted a solid ram-rod on my rifle, so the gears started turning. I cut it off to fit my Knight DE, drilled and threaded it 10x32 on the cutoff end. Then I did the same to the left-over handle end. Now all the screw-on jags, bullet-seaters and other things work on all ends. Now I have a short-starter and a new ram-rod both for about $3 bucks. Works for me,
