Thanks for joining me up with your fine outfit! I'm not new to muzzleloading , but I am new to inlines. I just picked up a used Traditions Thunderbolt .50 cal. I put a scope on it and I was wondering what range you guys set up your first target to sight in. Thanks again, Cold

Welcome!

I always do my initial sight in at 25 yards. Set it about an inch low and that gets me close enough to fine tune at 100.

Welcome to the forum. Nice to have you here.

When I sight in any scope other then a pistol, I start at 25 yards. I shoot dead bull. Then I move back to 50 and shoot. See where it hits. Then I finally end up at the distance I want the rifle sighted in for.

Welcome...Spent 18 months at Eielson AFB in Fairbanks in my younger years. Loved Alaska! If I hadn't got orders to go to Panama City Beach, Florida (Tyndell AFB), I would have stayed in Alaska.
