I was able to punch a tag on a doe here in the late antlerless season in Michigan. The deer were moving well this evening. I seen 20 deer. 2 were small bucks. All out feeding in the winter wheat. It was a great sit, very calm and peaceful, kinda like when our muzzleloader season was a couple weeks after deer season. The deer would calm down and feed in the evening before dark. I used my Knight Mountaineer 50cal on this hunt and like always, when you shoot you have to get your knife out because you’re going to be gutting. I used a Barnes 250TMZ over 90gr of black horn and a Cci primer.

Yeah buddy. Congrats on the harvest. Different firearm but so close to the same load out. Got two this year with that projectile. Couldn't be happier with the results from it. I see it did well for you as well. Congrats again

Thanks man. Yeah I love Barnes in my 50cal. They are hammers.

Congrats! Looks to be a nice, healthy critter. Good eating there.
