I was an active hunter, including MZ, for several years. I am thinking about returning to it. Interested in updating my knowledge of MZ hunting.

I am a bit unsure about the new powder selection. I use to use Tripe 7, two fifty grain pellets behind a t/c sabot in my .50 cal. Encore. I am reading posting about BlackHorn 209 powder and smokeless powder. It would appear that the Black Horn powder requires a nipple conversion to a 209 Shotgun cao. Is that correct?

Yes you will need to change to a 209 primer to shoot Blackhorn. You Do Not want to try shooting Smokeless Powder in your rifles. Smokeless can only be shot in rifles rated for it.
