Yes, I was looking at Google Earth imagery dates today. I noticed dates between 2012 and 2022. So, a lot of it is not as current as you’d hope it is.

As far as the accuracy, my phone (GPS/OnX/Google Earth location) is nearly always right on. Maybe you’re in a weird reception area.

I use Google Earth or Google maps for satellite view, and I have the OnX paid, single state, version as well. OnX is great to navigate wilderness areas, and find property lines, but the quality of the satellite map is generally lower than Google Earth.

I use OnX very useful for aerial scouting and knowing the property lines and it shows places you might not of thought was public land.
