Opening Day Michigan buck

My opening day buck here in Southern Michigan.

very nice buck!! Is the deer herd plentiful and healthy there?

It really depends on the area of the state. In the southern portion where I hunt it's healthy and maybe even a little over populated. The farther north the thinner the herd. The western UP has been hammered hard by the wolves.
