Scopes with high magnification are for precision shooting/bench rest for the most part. Hunters don't need that much magnification. Most March scopes have to be sent to Japan for repair. Even a $3400 scope can fail, I witnessed this from a sml 40cal 1 shot and looked like black snow in the scope. (All) scopes will eventually fail as has everything manmade, the question is when. I just bought another Vortex scope (upper end) and I have my reasons for choosing Vortex. Others have had not so good experience with them. The one I have currently on an sml has held up for thousands of shots without a hiccup. JME worth about 1cent to some or most.
