Has anyone shot saboted .45 caliber 200 gr bullets out of their .50 cal muzzies and if so how did they shoot?
I've shot 45 cal Barnes TAC-XP 185gr out of a CVA Optima V2 50. They done great!!Has anyone shot saboted .45 caliber 200 gr bullets out of their .50 cal muzzies and if so how did they shoot?
The only Speer Gold dots i have used were, 240 gr .429 with gn. sabots. 75-80 gr trip 7 2 f kept them in a 2" group 100 ydsI'm thinking of the Speer Gold Dot in 200 gr. I've heard good reports about the bullets but forget the weight that was used.
I had the same experience with the FTX. They have a hollow cavity enclosed in them. Might unbalance them at higher rpm’s .. also pretty rapid expansion at fairly low speeds. The vast majority of 200gr 45cal bullets will be too lightly constructed. There are a few though.
Barnes 45cal 200gr and 225gr XPB....The 225gr is really good
Hornady 45 200gr FTX, its made for 460S&W but i could never get them to shoot as good as the 225gr FTX
