Spent the weekend with some old friends in the high Sierras of central California.
Caught a few trout, Browns and Bows from 12 to 17 inches.

wow great pics! Some great looking trout as well. How were the water levels looking up there? Seems to be a beautiful area to fish.

I have hunted all over the western United States, and for picture postcard scenery, nothing beats the high Sierras. This lake, and dozen of others are right between Yosemite and Kings Canyon National parks.

Water levels are low. The lake was about 40 feet down from the high water mark.
Very little snow pack left. It’s going to be a dry summer.

Now that getting away from it all! What were they biting on in those high mountains :?:
Are there any inlet/outlet streams to and from that lake :?: I wouldn't think so but I don't know.

How did you get a boat up there :?:

p.s. Love those scenic pics. May I copy them for personal use :?:

Night crawlers and spinners.

Just a trickle flowing in, nothing flowing out right now.

On a 20 mile, twisty, windy one lane road.

Looks like you guys had a great time Anaconda !

Great looking area to be fishing in Anaconda . On my way down to the river below the house for some tigerfish hunting as well , will see what we get .
