has anyone try swiss 1 1/2 f in there 50 cal., if so how did it shoot compare to 2f ?, thanks randy
I have some Swiss 1 1/2, bought from a friend who was cleaning out his blackpowder gear. He said that it was the equivalent to the other brand's 2f.

Id use it with no problem.  Swiss uses smaller granulations.

The Swiss 1 1/2 is 2F without the fines or powdery granulation. It shoots very well and consistent shot to shot. I shoot it in everything from 40 cal to 62 cal. Good shooting you'll like it.

swiss 1-1/2F works just fine, not unlike goex 2F but burns cleaner.  i've also used it in the pan, though as expected it's a tad slower on the ignition.  my go-to powder for all my trad ml's is still swiss 3F in the tube and pan.  swiss 1-1/2F is my mainstay powder for my sharps and rolling block 45-70s.
