I’ll start with unboxing
2 boxes, invoice on inner box, otherwise factory packaging.
Rifle enclosed on plastic, accessories and even plugs for unused sight tap holes.
1:20 twist fluted on 1/2 the barrel.
Break action, hammer, and especially trigger feel good, has a button ambidextrous safety, all fittings tight and well machined, Cerakote metal and synthetic stock, sling studs, drilled and tapped for scope (found outdoor products durasight dead on Amazon $12)
Has T handle ramrod.
Once I slug barrel and work up a load I’ll post range results.
Overall very impressed for a > $300 .45 muzzleloader, feels good in the hands and well made.

Delivery, wellI I ordered march 14th, delivered April 3rd. I won’t post retailer but always check if retailer is an exclusive drop ship merchant, I saved maybe $20 and found out afterwards. Drop Ship = slow ship
Usually orders are 5-7 days from order to my door.

Your description of the new gun sounds impressive. I'd be nice to know that Traditions is upping its game. Watch this space.
I don’t know exactly what you mean by that but this isn’t a new model, it’s just being offered as a 1:20 .45.
If there was something you didn’t like previously about Traditions rifles it probably hasn’t changed. They may have gotten rid of the annoying 2-piece ramrod?

From the specs it sounds like a good muzzleloader! I'll be waiting for your range report on this rifle! I've never had a .45 cal and I'm interested in what it can do! Keep us posted!

What kind of load data came with the rifle?
No claims of max load I’ve seen yet, 100gr measured 2-50 pellets but the accelerator breech does blackthorn , and it’s mentioned.

Just read max suggested max load of 120 grains (measured) Blackhorn 209 min 80gr
100gr max on 777 & Pyrodex .. 80gr minimum that’s a new one ⁉️

I know that the gun isn't a new model. I was just suggesting that maybe there were improvements in manufacturing process that made the gun higher quality. But I will admit that this isn't likely. Many manufacturers make improvements on already existing products and sell a better product.

Is this data designed for the 50 caliber barrel, or the 45 caliber barrel.

Should there be some loads for the 200 grain 40 caliber bullets, if it is for the 45 ?

100 of t7? Seems like it could be a little hot. You are right. Never seen an 80 min. Good luck with it!
